Ideal candidate will have experience in general electrical repairs such as changing lighting ballasts, helping run conduit, and pulling and terminating electrical wire and will hold an electrical apprentice license.

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of a Maintenance Technician is to provide demonstrated sub journeyman-level work in a designated craft(s). Impacts routine maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment, systems, buildings and grounds.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Under direct supervision performs routine and preventative maintenance on various equipment, buildings and utility systems using one or more craft trade skills. Maintains records of materials, jobs, and other pertinent information.

Maintain Facility Appearance, Functionality and Safety

• Runs conduits, pull wires, repair electrical motors, generators, fans, etc.

• Change out lighting ballasts, lamps, fixtures, and adjusts light sensors.

• Respond to power outages, client critical and facility equipment alarms, code reds, leaks, floods, etc.

• Performs preventive maintenance of all electrical panels, transformers, and motor control centers. Records data accurately noting pertinent information from inspections.

• Troubleshoot and analyze various electrical issues, to include testing equipment

• Installs, maintains, and repairs a wide variety and large volume of electrical motors, generators, and fans.

• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job.

Increase Customer Focus and Satisfaction

• Quickly respond to Client “Dispatch” work order requests for a variety of tasks.

• Respond to customer service requests. Talk to Customers and keep them informed on job status.

• Requisition parts and materials needed to conduct the daily activities.

• Completes all required paperwork – timesheets, activity logs, etc.

• Investigate and respond to utility outages, utilizing the Facilities Operations Notification System, for impact to clients and building systems.

• Functions as a subject matter expert and as a point person for lighting upgrades and vendors

Maintain an Efficient Response to Work Orders and Reduce/Balance Workload for Other Shops

•Provides back-up support for the other crafts as needed.

•Perform specific tasks to assist other Shops such as running Electrical wiring, switches, light fixtures, etc.

•Utilize the CMMS System (Mainsaver) to appropriately document all work order activities.

Other duties as assigned

Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Five years experience in one or more crafts (i.e. - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation).

Preferred: Electrical apprentice license.
