MD Anderson Cancer Center Sr Archer Systems Developer in Houston, Texas

The primary purpose of the Senior Information Security Analyst position is to function as a resource that will contribute towards the development, implementation and maintenance of the institution's information security technologies, standards, workflow and processes. This experienced resource will be expected to function as a self-sufficient self-starter in a team oriented environment. This resource will actively work to develop recommendations and mitigation strategies to ambiguous technical information security issues and emerging technologies. This resource will counsel interdepartmental personnel on institutional information security policies, regulatory compliance issues, security best practices, and provide training as required. This resource will provide information security guidance to inter-departmental and cross-functional work groups as needed to ensure successful integration of and exposure to security policies, procedures, risk assessment process workflow and supporting processes. This resource will be expected to actively contribute to departmental continuous process improvement initiatives. This resource will function as a technical resource to Security Analysts and other IT personnel. This resource will be expected to develop and maintain documentation for all assigned projects.

Develop, Customize and Maintain RSA Archer GRC Applications and Solutions

  • Produce MDACC Archer GRC application development environment standard operating procedure.

  • Perform requirements analysis to translate customer business requirements to technical requirements through to requirements confirmation (customer requirements approval).

  • Perform modular configuration builds and/or customized builds in accordance with customer requirements set.

  • Perform customer product demonstration and UAT.

Enhance the Reliability for RSA Archer Implementation Through Re-setting, Stabilization and Maintenance of Archer Instances

  • Coordinate with RSA Professional Services support personnel to successfully perform overall assessment of the current GRC implementation.

  • Perform the production to stage and development sync to re-baseline the GRC implementation.

  • Control Archer application versions.

Promote Quality and Enhance Team Dynamics Through Consultative and Mentoring Activities

  • Perform ongoing mentoring of personnel regarding Archer technical issues.

  • Interface with risk analysts to assist them and to resolve issues and identify opportunities for Archer product improvement.

  • Seek team members' advice on capabilities, application design approaches and strategies.

  • Communicate with project management openly and frequently to ensure that project performance expectations can be set and managed, as appropriate.

  • Construct and distribute quality work products (i.e., related documentation) to demonstrate and contribute in the shaping of RM team's establishment of project best practices.

Professional Certification Training and Personal Development Plan

  • Maintain current certifications and augment current skills through participation in and leadership in a professional group(s).

  • Develop technical expertise in RSA Archer through formal technical training.

Duties as assigned Provide customer inquiry support and follow-up for information security guidance and training as they are assigned.

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

Certification Required:

None

Preferred Certification:

Information Systems Security Professional Certification or related information security professional certification

Experience Required:

Five years of information security experience, to include experience in multiple security domains. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with RSA Archer platform.
