MD Anderson Cancer Center Sr Archer Systems Administrator in Houston, Texas

The primary purpose of the Senior Information Security Analyst position is to function as a resource that will contribute towards the development, implementation and maintenance of the institution's information security technologies, standards, workflow and processes. This experienced resource will be expected to function as a self-sufficient self-starter in a team oriented environment. This resource will actively work to develop recommendations and mitigation strategies to ambiguous technical information security issues and emerging technologies. This resource will counsel interdepartmental personnel on institutional information security policies, regulatory compliance issues, security best practices, and provide training as required. This resource will provide information security guidance to inter-departmental and cross-functional work groups as needed to ensure successful integration of and exposure to security policies, procedures, risk assessment process workflow and supporting processes. This resource will be expected to actively contribute to departmental continuous process improvement initiatives. This resource will function as a technical resource to Security Analysts and other IT personnel. This resource will be expected to develop and maintain documentation for all assigned projects.

RSA Archer GRC System Administration

Develop and maintain system administration process and procedures reference documents to include:

  • server inventory

  • server patch history

  • baseline configuration settings

  • server performance health checks

  • break / fix procedures

  • onboarding administrator resource kit

  • operational "How To" document

RSA Archer GRC Change Management Process

Review existing Archer GRC program change management process.

Provide refinement, enhancement and update to the current process.

Conduct team review, make updates and baseline a new change management process.

Operationalize and maintain a regular program support meeting

RSA Archer GRC Disaster Recovery Planning

Establish access to a pristine environment at Archer for future potential access.

Assure a properly functioning disaster recovery instance in sync with the Archer GRC production environment.

Develop test scripting in step with wave development and build out.

Build a test schedule and after action tracking.

Annual Professional Training and Personal Development Plan

Attend Archer GRC System Administrator and certification training

Attend Educational Center soft skills course towards personal development.

Personal Development Plan To be provided.

Provide customer inquiry support and follow-up for information security guidance and training as they are assigned.

Provide continuous improvement input.

Other duties as assigned

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

Certification Required:


Preferred Certification:

Information Systems Security Professional Certification or related information security professional certification

Experience Required:

Five years of information security experience, to include experience in multiple security domains. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with RSA Archer platform.
