MD Anderson Cancer Center Senior Sterile Processing Tech - 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. in Houston, Texas

The idealcandidate for the Senior SterileProcessing Tech position will be certified with a minimum of two yearshospital-based sterile processing experience. Shift is nights, 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs duties and troubleshoots in allareas of sterile processing to include decontamination, assemble, sterilizationof advanced instrumentation and equipment while adhering to the manufacturerand department guidelines. Identifies and inspects instruments for cleanlinessand functionality. Operates and troubleshoots equipment. Maintains safetystandards. Prepares case carts and delivers instrumentation to the operatingroom. Stocks operating room par levels for stored instrumentation and emergencycarts.

SALARYRANGE

Minimum: $33,200 – Midpoint: $41,500 –Maximum: $49,800

EDUCATION

Required: High school diplomaor equivalent.

Preferred: Diploma from anapproved Sterile Processing Program.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Two yearshospital-based sterile processing experience. With preferred education, noexperience required.

Preferred: Diploma from an approvedSterile Processing Program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Required: Certified RegisteredCentral Service Technician (CRCST) by the International Association ofHealthcare Central Service Materials Management (IAHCSMM). Certified SterileProcessing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) by the Certification Board ofSterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD). Certified SurgicalTechnologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and SurgicalAssisting (NBSTSA).
