Position: Research Data Coordinator - Active Living After Cancer/Duncan Family Institute Strategic Initiative (ALAC/DFI)

The ideal candidate for this Research Data Coordinator will be bilingual in Spanish and English.

The function of the Research Data Coordindator is to assist with the implementation of evidence-based physical activity, nutrition, weight loss programs through the Center for Energy Balance in Cancer Prevention and Survivorship. Must be willing to enter into the community to help educate our Active Learning after Cancer Program and the Duncan Family Institute Strategic Initiative Study (ALAC/DFI).

Salary Range

Minimum $33,200 - Midpoint $41,500 - Maximum $49,800

Hours - Monday through Friday, Core Business Hours (8am-5pm)

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Recruitment and data collection

Assists in recruitment efforts and data collection for Active Living after Cancer program, a physical activity and behavioral skills training program for cancer-survivors and the Duncan Family Institute Strategic Initiative study: Improving Body Composition, Diet, Physical Activity, and Fitness in Houston-area Adults at Risk for Cancer. Includes quantitative and qualitative data collection.

Program Procedures

Executes program procedures according to protocol/procedures. Obtains and maintains necessary documentation associated with program participation. Ensures all program evaluation data and study data is entered appropriately.

Program Support

Assists program coordinator(s) with research documentation of materials and quality control procedures. Assists with program documentation, meeting preparation, program material preparation and drafting of protocol submissions. Provides program updates and reports directly to the PI, Program Manager, and Program Coordinator as requested.

    Education

    Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience

    Required: Two years of related experience. May substitute required experience with completed years of college on a one to one basis.

    Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English.
