MD Anderson Cancer Center Research Assistant II - Gastroenterology Research in Houston, Texas

Provides clinical and coordination skills in carrying out various clinical research projects.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
Assists principal investigators with scientific research projects focused on gastrointestinal cancers and/or endoscopy.
Reads literature and confers with principal investigators regarding new research methods and modifies them according to the needs of the project.
Functions, under supervision, in the design and initiation of research projects.
Assists in training and research work activity for assigned project and research personnel.
Submits project results to principal investigators.
Maintain all regulatory documents for all research projects.
Respond to compliance-related queries as needed.
Utilizes technical writing ability to assist in the composition of abstracts, manuscripts, research projects, reports and other medical/scientific. correspondence under the direction of study investigators.
Editing and/or writing sections of protocols, grants and reports as directed by study investigators.
Reviewing manuscripts before submission to publishing companies.
Required: Bachelor's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.
Required: Two years experience in scientific or experimental research work. No experience required with preferred degree.
Preferred: Experience with human clinical trials, drug studies, regulatory requirements.
