MD Anderson Cancer Center Research Assistant II - Bioinformatics & Comp Biology in Houston, Texas

The research assistant will perform experiments as part of ongoing and newly started projects in our laboratory. The primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Mammalian cell culturing using cell lines, organoids, fresh tissue samples.

  2. Drug perturbation experiments using targeted agents.

  3. Phenotypic measurements using imaging based or other techniques (e.g., CellTiterGlo, fluorescence based apoptosis assays).

  4. High to mid throughput drug combination screens. Ability to operate or learn robotic devices for high throughput drug screens

  5. Occasionally help and drive in vivo (PDX in mice) drug treatment experiments.

  6. Molecular biology (e.g., cloning) applications.


Required: Bachelor's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.

Preferred: Master's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.


Required:Two years' experience in scientific or experimental research work.

No experience required with preferred degree.
