MD Anderson Cancer Center Research Assistant I - Genomic Medicine in Houston, Texas

The mission of The University of Texas M. D. The primary purpose of the Research Assistant I is to provide technical assistance in carrying out bioinformatics analysis for various research projects. We are seeking a highly motivated enthusiastic person to help a senior researcher in a dynamic lab with numerous opportunities to learn cutting-edge cancer research.

Key Functions

  1. Perform bioinformatics analysis for some ongoing projects related to cancer epigenomics.

  2. Web portal design for sharing epigenomics data.

  3. Reads literature and confers with supervisor regarding new procedures.

  4. Master essential skills and techniques in bioinformatics related to epigenetics.

  5. Contribute to the laboratory by maintaining a productive work environment and participating in the scientific culture.

  6. Employ safe laboratory practices

  7. Performs other duties as required.
