This is a part-time position
The primary purpose of the programmer analyst position is to provide technical skills in the development and use of programming languages and databases in support of the Cancer Prevention Research Training Program. Utilize and expand knowledge of technical tools available to perform programming tasks, assist with performing data analysis for a variety of projects related to epidemiology, medical education, and cancer prevention research.T
Ideal candidates will have SAS/ SPSS or LISREL experience
Perform programming tasks and provide programming support to faculty and senior statistical analysts for a variety of projects related to epidemiology, medical education, and cancer prevention research.
Performing data analysis:
Analyzes and interprets statistical data to identify significant differences and relationships among variables of interest for various projects under supervision of senior staff. Assists faculty and senior staff in the development of new statistical methods and analysis of data. Attends regular project meetings.
Writes and maintains program development documentation to describe logic, coding, testing, changes, and correction.
Technical support for creating graphs, figures, and tables for peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts
Other duties as assigned.
Two years of experience in programming. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis or completed years of college on a one to one basis.
Experience documenting the processing of data and development of software applications. Proficiency in SAS / SPSSS or LISREL statistical software.
