MD Anderson Cancer Center Pharmacy Technician -Clinic R2 (9:30am-8:00pm) in Houston, Texas

Key Functions

Meets productivity guidelines while maintaining accuracy

Manages prescription flow, not allowing prescriptions to backlog in any area

Counts/pours correct drug into appropriately sized container, labels container and prepares it for pharmacist verification

Demonstrates competency of all computer systems and applications used in the area

Processes payment method correctly through the register

Maintains assigned sections monthly by checking expiration dates, cleaning and facing shelves, removing partial bottles/liquids and return to stock bottles from shelves

Other duties as assigned

Experience Required:

No experience.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in pharmacy or similar type work where conformance to proper technique and accuracy are essential.

Experience in cashiering or cash management.

Education Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensure / Certification Required

Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).

Onsite Presence: Is Required

Must pass pre-employment skills a test as required and administered by Human Resources.
