Patient Care Technician Position in our Pediatric Children's Hospital, is looking for candidates that are flexible, enthusiastic about family and patient-centered care and passionate about pediatrics care. Our 35 bed unit will allow you to care for all pediatrics patients in the following services lines: Pedi oncology, pediatrics surgical, pediatrics stem cell transplant and cellular therapy and young adult stem cell transplant and cellular therapy.
Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years recent work experience. May substitute additional education for required experience a one to one basis. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources. Prefer one year of recent experience working in direct patient care.
Must be able to work Evening / Nights (7 pm - 7 am / 3 pm – 11 pm / 11 pm – 7 am) and 26 out of 52 weekends per year.
Minimum $27,200 - Mid-Point $34,000 - Maximum $40,800
Function: Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.
Scope: Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
Essential Job Functions: Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.
