MD Anderson Cancer Center Patient Care Technician - Leukemia (G16) - Evening/Night shift in Houston, Texas

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of patient care experience. Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

The G16 unit serves an adult Leukemia population, age range 17-92.

Function: Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.

Scope: Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.


Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.

Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs.

Updates and retrieves patient information.

Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.

Acts as part of an assigned care team.



High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: College hours in nursing or healthcare related field.



Three years of work experience.

May substitute additional education for required experience a one to one basis.



Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
