Patient Care Technician position in our Emergency Center

This Emergency Center has 42 beds with 4 being negative pressure and 2 are in our resuscitation rooms for the most emergent situation. We specialized unit that caters to our Cancer patients, but also sees any patient that comes through our doors, Cancer diagnosis or not. We treat pediatrics through adults
Ideal candidate will have three years of work experience; direct patient care experience strongly preferred.
Shift is Mid-shift 10:45 am – 11:15 pm and 26 out of 52 weekends per year.
Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
Salary Range: Minimum - $28,800 Midpoint - $36,000 Maximum - $43,200
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: College hours in nursing or healthcare related field.
Required: Three years of work experience. May substitute additional education for required experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Nursing assistant or other related experience in a clinical setting
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant
Other Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources
