Ideal candidates will have experience in healthcare software systems implementation and support, business/systems process analysis and design.
IT Project Management of complex IT analytics projects that impact the entire enterprise
Project management oversight, leadership and expertise Establishes and manages project expectations of all project stakeholders including sponsor, steering team, customers, users, and project team.
Demonstrates strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, mentoring, conflict resolution and resource management skills.
Develops and maintains optimal/effective relationships with project internal and external customers and vendors.
Communicates effectively with stakeholders and project team and escalates project issues to management in a timely manner.
Adheres to MDACC IS Governance procedures and Project Management Methodology.
Completes and presents project documentation in a timely manner and as required for reporting to IT review groups and governance committees.
Provides weekly updates, attends all project meetings and communicates status of all tasks
Oversight for the development, enhancement and/or implementation of systems, applications, or databases Ensures system functional requirements are defined using workflow analysis, regulatory and standards review, industry best practices and other relevant sources
Ensures customer review and approval of system requirements, system configuration, testing results validation, system readiness for go-live and final customer acceptance
Ensures that project team and end-user input is incorporated into all implementation activities.
Ensures the design, configuration and setup of all system inputs, outputs and interfaces meet the business needs of the customer
Documents decision-making processes undertaken with customers that lead to content decisions
Works with technical team members to document technical requirements, specifications and design for system hardware, software and architecture.
Coordinates development/delivery of training for end-users and customer groups
Coordinates development of production support model for the production system.
Adheres to established parameters for project resource management, including personnel, technical, schedule and financial.
Defines, prioritizes, coordinates and manages the work of the project team
Establishes and maintains current project schedules and keeps management informed of resource status as needed
Establishes and maintains a current project budget and keeps management informed of budget status as needed.
Manages all project expenses and related financial resources.
Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
Five years of IT experience to include three years in project management. May substitute additional years of equivalent experience for required degree on a one to one year basis or completed years of college on a one to one basis. With preferred degree three years of experience is required to include one year in project management.
Experience in healthcare software systems implementation and support, business/systems process analysis and design.
Previous supervisory, coaching, or experience directly managing people, both within their team, including team building and leading teams in a matrix reporting environment.
Experience leading projects involving Oracle HDWF, Epic/Clarity/Cogito, and/or data warehousing.
