MD Anderson Cancer Center Inventory Pharmacy Technician -Pharmacy ATC R2 (12:30PM - 9:00PM) in Houston, Texas

SHIFT: 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm
- Monitors key inventory parameters to evaluate inventory usages
including stock levels, shortages, and recalls. Takes appropriate
actions and makes inventory adjustments as needed.
- Develops, implements and documents procedures related to
receiving, shipping, transfers, returns of inventory, physical counts,
ongoing cycle counts and loss prevention.
- Coordinates with appropriate supplier for acquisition and
distribution of drugs/supplies, identified as supply problems.
Communicates drug availability to staff.
Communicates with other inventory areas to minimize waste.
Maintains inventory security within the pharmacy area and
monitors for appropriate use of all institutional resources.
- Approach problems with curiosity and open-mindedness; offer new
ideas, solutions and/or options.
- Follows standard operating procedures/safety standards (USP
797/800, NIOSH) when handling and wasting of hazardous drugs.
Reports and documents chemotherapy spills.
- Completes pump assignments including replenishment, returns,
cleaning and periodic maintenance (PM) monitoring (within 95%

Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
Preferred: ACPE Sterile Products Certification.
Inventory management experience and prior pharmacy experience.
