MD Anderson Cancer Center Instructional Designer (Epic) - IT Training/Change Enablement in Houston, Texas

The primary purpose of the Instructional Designer position is to provide technical and professional training and expertise to employee development programs and interventions

*In order to be adequately prepared and trained to develop, deliver ans support training on the Epic system, MD Anderson requires that Epic certification be obtained within 120 days of completion of the assigned, required training classes. Required certifications must be maintained as assigned.*

Training Development/Implementation

Develops and implements training programs for their respective application(s).

Creates and maintains all training materials relevant to their application.

Updates policies and procedures relevant to the training of their application.

Training Delivery/Support

Provides instructor-led training for various applications.

Provides training for new staff.

Develops Computer Based Training for various applications.

Coordinates training for new software releases and updates.

Provides training support during and after go-live.

Provides Training Manager with identified risks and concerns.

Professional Development

Promotes professional growth and development though leadership activities and continuing education and training.

Participates in special projects such as Town Halls, Expo's, Information Sharing as needed and preforms other duties as assigned.

Education Required:

Bachelors degree.

Certification Required:

Preferred Certification:

Epic

Experience Required:

Three years of experience analyzing, developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs and/or delivering application training. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis or completed years of college on a one to one basis.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in an academic healthcare setting.

Experience at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
