MD Anderson Cancer Center Director, Nursing Quality in Houston, Texas
The Director, Nursing Quality will provide strategic leadership to the internal and external nursing community in the areas of nursing quality, patient experience and safety, nursing policy and procedure, and nursing accreditation program readiness, while supporting staff safety and engagement institution wide. The Director will have the responsibility of leading the ANCC Magnet Recognition ® Program across the organization.
The Director will also provide leadership, direction, oversight, and support for initiatives that advance the practice of professional nursing across the organization. The Director will develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact of nursing practice and patient care outcomes.
Additional responsibilities include, customer service, finance, human resources, quality outcome management and regulatory compliance.

Leadership of Nursing Quality across nursing (Inpatient, Ambulatory, Perioperative and Procedural Areas, Diagnostic Imaging, Radiation Oncology)
Nursing Regulatory Oversight

The Joint Commission
Five years of leadership experience in a large health care environment.
Experience leading large quality programs and initiatives.
Experience with ANCC Magnet Recognition® Programs.
Knowledge of government regulations and accreditation standards.
Education: Master's Level Degree
Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN)
Certification that include a quality component
