MD Anderson Cancer Center Director, Nursing Quality and Accreditation in Houston, Texas

The Primary purpose of the Director, Nursing Quality and Accreditation, is to provide strategic leadership to the internal and external nursing community in the areas of quality and patient safety, nursing policy and procedure, and accreditation program readiness. This serves as the basis for outstanding professionalism, patient care, and quality outcomes associated with nursing practice.

The Director will provide leadership, direction, oversight, and support for initiatives that advance the practice of professional nursing across the organization. Develop and maintain collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the business of nursing and patient care outcomes.

Responsibilities include all aspects of patient safety, customer service, finance, human resources, quality outcome management and regulatory compliance. The Director will collaborate with the Executive Director, Quality, Safety and Research, and the Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer to develop and set vision and strategy for nursing quality.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Master's Level Degree

License/Certification:

Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN)

CHPQ

Certification in oncology, specialty practice area, or administration is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Five years of progressive experience in a health care environment including management experience.

Preferred Experience: With required experience, four years of management experience and/or two years of professional nursing experience in cancer care.
