The WOC Nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center provide expert care to oncology patients with wounds, ostomies and continence issues in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. “Using multifaceted, evidence-based practice, the WOC Nurses incorporate a unique body of knowledge to provide excellence in prevention, health maintenance, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitative nursing care to persons with select problems of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems.” - The Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Society, Standards and Scope of Practice, 2010.

Ideal candidate must have a BSN, Texas RN licensure, preferably 5 years of recent clinical nursing experience, and full scope WOC certification within one year of employment with the WOC Nursing Team.

Shift: Evening/Nights including 26 out of 52 weekends per year

Salary Range: Min- $56,000 Mid- $78,500 Max- $110,000

Essential Job Functions-

We are seeking experience Registered Nurses to join the Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Team. The selected candidate will develop the tools and knowledge needed to coordinate clinical aspects of care for patients with wound, ostomy and continence (WOC) needs. Once the selected candidate has completed their training, he/she will act as a specialty consultant to physicians, nurses, physical therapists and patient in managing outcomes for WOC needs across the continuum of care.


Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.


Preferred: Five years relevant clinical nursing experience.


Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN).

Preferred: Certification in oncology or specialty practice area.
