Clinical Nurse Opportunity on our G18 - Stem Cell Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Unit
The Inpatient Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit is a 48 bed unit and is one of our designated immunotherapy floors, administering research protocols involving immunotherapy and CARTOX therapy to patients, including Phase 1 clinical trials. As such, our staff receive additional training to develop the skills needed to provide exceptional care to patients receiving this progressive therapy .
Ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing, TX RN license; BLS, CPR and OCN certifications. One year of recent RN experience in Oncology, Hematology, BMT and Chemotherapy preferred working in an Inpatient Setting.
Shift is 7am-7pm and 26 out of 52 weekends per year
Education Required Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Education Preferred Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
Experience Required None.
Experience Preferred Two years relevant clinical nursing experience.
Licensure/Certification Required Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in the following department: Nrsg Post Anesthesia Care Unit (600160).
Licensure/Certification Preferred Certification in oncology or specialty practice area.
Other Required All clinical nurses with less than one year registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program. Foreign trained nurses who have not practiced nursing as an RN in the United States for at least one year will also be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
