Associate Director -Clinical Nuring Opportunity on our - Intensive Care Unit
Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, TX RN license, BLS or CPR certification and six years of professional nursing experience with two years in cancer care. Two years of management experience in the management of direct patient care activities. LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.
Prefer candidates with a Master's degree, four years of recent ICU nursing experience and two years management and certifications in CCRN, ONS and/or Nurse Executives, specialty practice area or administration.
The primary purpose of the Associate Director position is to provide strategic, creative long term and daily operational leadership for the assigned inpatient unit. The Associate Director promotes a professional nursing practice environment. The Associate Director is accountable and responsible for all aspects of clinical operations, finance, human resources, and quality outcome management.
Essential Job Functions Sets strategic priorities and tactics in consultation with the Director of Nursing or Clinical Administrative Director to align with institutional and divisional strategic initiatives. Responsible for the outcomes of care processes on assigned unit(s) including clinical quality, financial, productivity, throughput/efficiency and interdisciplinary team work. Provides direction, guidance and developmental planning to clinical nurses and support staff. Directs, delegates and oversees care delivery and work efforts to achieve and maintain excellence in nursing and patient care outcomes. Promotes a satisfied, healthy work environment for the workforce by establishing a climate of growth, challenge and development for all staff. Supports a high level of clinical competence and professional development for staff.
Function Responsible for the delivery of evidenced based inpatient services in a complex oncology inpatient environment requiring 24 hour, 7 day a week supervision.
Scope Impacts the delivery of patient care and the operational success of the assigned unit.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Preferred Education: Master's Level Degree
Certification: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing License (RN).
