MD Anderson Cancer Center Associate Applications Systems Analyst - EHR Clinical Ancillaries in Houston, Texas

The primary purpose of the Associate Application Systems Analyst is to participate in the technical analysis for systems and programming areas.

The Associate Application Systems Analyst:

  • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop and modify moderately complex information systems.

  • Impacts the proper design and utilization of applications/systems throughout the institution.

  • Assists in Work In-take Process Management Maintains and assists in the management of the work intake process for Core Clinical Systems.

  • Fulfills account requests made by end-users and follows up to insure successful outcomes, using a predefined process.

Continual Improvement Process Support

Proposes modification of procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.

Documentation Management

Prepares detailed specifications from which programs may be written and develops system documentation / educational materials for end users and system support staff.

Information Gathering

Must be able to prepare information for project presentations.

Education:

Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education:

Some College

Experience:

None. May substitute required education degree with additional years of related experience on a one to one basis or completed years of college on a one to one basis

Preferred Experience:

One year experience in analysis/design/project management/programming.
